Customer Reviews for The Boneyard Hairdressing

Charlotte Lee — 5/5 (via Google)

I hate going to the hairdressers (not any specific one, just getting my haircut in general). But my hair was well overdue a good chop- with my last haircut being well over a year ago. I booked just over a week ago (I think) for today and paid half of the money upfront then. From reading reviews, I understand people don’t like this model, however I prefer it 🤷‍♀️ this was my first time at your salon, £64 for a chop, in my opinion, is absolutely scandalous, but it is definetly in line with other salons from when I was researching which one to go to. I would even say it’s cheaper than a lot of salons in the area. I arrived early, and seen straight away by bryony. I explained to her how much I hate coming to the hairdressers and she was proper lovely with me. I came with my partner, and she even offered him a cuppa which is really kind considering he wasn’t a customer. I tend to keep my hair pretty basic, she gave it a good old chop and talked me through some options just to give it a fuller look as my hair is quite thin. I walked away feeling like a princess. Thank you Bryony. I’ll definetly be back (in the very distant future lol)

i’ve never been happier walking out of a salon before, i had an appointment with Becky on 12/12/25, and had previously been ignored by a well known hairdresser in newcastle. I told her over instagram and at my consultation what I would be hoping for, and she explained that it may not be possible to get me as light as I was hoping. I was absolutely fine with that and went to the appointment with no high hopes. I haven’t been to a hairdressers in years due to constant let downs, however throughout the process I started loving my hair more and more even before it was nearly done. Becky got my hair as white as I could’ve asked for as well as going over my black on the bottom, the price for this was nowhere near what I thought it was going to be and was well worth it. Wouldn’t recommend anyone else it’s lovely in there.

Melissa Burr — 4/5 (via Google)

I loved my experience here today. The staff are so supportive and patient, always making sure I had the best experience possible, the vibes are immaculate, and the music is great. However they weren't able to get the exact cut and colour I wanted, which is probably my fault for expecting too much. I was slightly overcharged as I was charged for a toner that wasn't done and the 25% off for Mimi being a new stylist wasn't applied. However I did over stay my allocated time but was not rushed at all, which justifies it. If you could resolve this or I'm wrong somehow I'd happily change this review to 5 stars.

I have been visiting for a while now and always book with Bryony. I never knew my hair could still be so healthy and soft after going blonde. Bryony is super professional with great recommendations and always keeps the health of my hair in mind. I first came in with dark hair wanting to go light blonde and she was honest as well realistic about the journey in order to preserve the health of my hair. It’s helped me trust her with my hair and I don’t go to anyone else now! She’s made me fall in love with my hair again. I always look forward to re-booking and continuing the process, thank you so much :)
